The Daming Waste-to-Energy PPP Project is strategically situated in the northwest area of Liwu Pai Village, Jiuzhi Township, Daming County, Hebei Province, China. Dedicated to the harmless, reduction, and resource utilization of household waste in the region, the project operates with a daily capacity to process 500 tons of household waste. Construction commenced on August 20, 2019, marking a significant step towards addressing waste management challenges in the area. Achieving grid connection on June 24, 2021, and completing the "72 + 24" full-load trial operation on July 30, 2021, the project transitioned into the trial production phase.
With an annual processing capacity of 182,500 tons and an impressive annual electricity generation of 67.3 million kWh, this project has received substantial attention from the Daming County Committee and the Municipal Government. It stands as a pivotal component of the "Habitat Daming" construction system project embodying the city’s commitment to green development. Serving as a new landmark in Daming County, the project symbolizes the region’s dedication to sustainable growth and environmental stewardship.
1. Cutting-Edge Incineration Technology
The project integrates state-of-the-art SUS grate incinerators recognized with a prestigious second-class national science and technology progress award. These incinerators boast a sophisticated three-stage forward-push movable grate, drop-wall, and modular design, ensuring reliable operation, minimal emissions, and low slag burnout rates. Additionally, the ACC automatic combustion control system, developed in-house, ensures combustion stability and reduced original concentrations of flue gas pollutants.
2. Stringent Flue Gas Purification Process
Utilizing a multi-stage high-tech combination process, the project exceeds both national (GB18485-2014) and EU (2010/75/EU) standards for flue gas emissions.
3. Open Public Education Base
The project includes a dedicated environmental education exhibition hall within the project premises, welcoming the public year-round free of charge. Real-time operational data including flue gas emissions are transparently shared in accordance with regulatory requirements, fostering public oversight and engagement.
