The Guangrao Waste-to-Energy Project situated in Dutian East Village, Guangrao Street, Guangrao County, Dongying City, is dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of household waste, focusing on harmless, reduction, and resource-based treatment of household waste in the region. With a daily processing capacity of 600 tons of waste, construction commenced on July 1, 2019 and successfully achieved grid connection for power generation on June 25, 2021.

Recognized as a pivotal initiative by the county committee and the government of Guangrao County in 2019, this project holds dual significance both as a key endeavor and a matter of public concern. Beyond its primary goal of harmless waste treatment, the project harnesses incineration for power generation, effectively transforming waste into a valuable resource. Consequently, it significantly alters the landscape of household waste management practices in Guangrao County.

Project Highlight

1. Architecture Design Reflecting Historical Significance of "Deindustrialization

Drawing inspiration from Guangrao’s rich historical and cultural heritage, characterized by its prehistoric Neolithic roots and subsequent Liangzhu cultural influences, the architectural design pays homage to the region's profound historical continuum. Embracing hues reminiscent of traditional Chinese aesthetics, such as deep red, symbolizing longevity and prosperity, the design embodies the essence of Guangrao's historical significance.

2. Independent Development of Grate Furnace

The project encompasses a comprehensive array of infrastructural components including main buildings, supporting facilities, water purification stations, fly ash storage rooms, leachate treatment stations, and sewage treatment stations. It aims to establish a state-of-the-art 600t/d incineration line and a 12MW turbine generator set, complemented by a supporting 250t/d leachate treatment station and a 35/10kV booster station. These components seamlessly integrate with a 35kV transmission line for grid connectivity.

3. Stringent Emission Standards for Flue Gas

Employing cutting-edge flue gas purification processes the project adopts a comprehensive approach including SNCR (lime slurry), dry method (Ca(OH)₂, dry powder, activated carbon injection, baghouse dust removal, and reserved SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction). This meticulous methodology ensures flue gas emissions surpass national standards (GB18485-2014) by a significant margin.

4. High Degree of Intelligence

Leveraging an intelligent integrated management platform, the project enables real-time monitoring of the entire production process, bolstered by a robust emergency management and disposal mechanism within the park. An online automatic monitoring center facilitates continuous surveillance of flue gas emission data, promptly disseminating information to the public.

5. Open Educational Base

Equipped with an expansive environmental education exhibition hall, the facility warmly welcomes the public free of charge throughout the year. Operational data, including flue gas emissions are transparently disclosed in real-time, fostering an environment of public engagement and oversight.
