The PPP project for solid waste treatment and environmental park in Jiangcheng District, Yangjiang City, is situated in Shengangdeng, Jiangcheng District. Boasting a daily waste treatment capacity of 1200 tons, excavation of the waste bunker commenced on March 10, 2022, with grid connection for electricity generation successfully accomplished on December 31, 2022. The facility is now officially operational.

The environmental park, centralized around the waste-to-energy plant, collaboratively manages various waste streams including sludge, kitchen waste, construction waste, and other solid waste. By leveraging the symbiotic relationship among different types of solid waste it establishes a closed-loop economic model termed "resource-product-regenerated resource." This model facilitates the reduction, resource utilization, and harmless treatment of both domestic and industrial waste, embodying the essence of a true circular economy ecological park.

Project Highlight

1. Architectural Design Philosophy

The architectural exterior design of the project is themed as "Embracing Diversity, Perseverance." The overall layout of the building resembling winding rivers with a prominent north-south orientation, metaphorically signifies the enduring commitment to pollution-free waste treatment benefiting future generations. This design allegorizes the continuous accumulation of experience and technological advancement in environmental protection projects. The sleek layout of the building integrates with the terrain and landscape, seamlessly integrating into the surroundings and minimizing its visual impact.

2. Sustainability Through Material Selection

Adhering to the concept of "Environmental Protection and Heritage of Colors," the project prioritizes the use of environmentally friendly materials. Gray-white exterior wall cladding, dark gray aluminum frames, and gray glass are among the sustainable materials selected.

3. Implementation of High-Quality Equipment

4. Compliance with Rigorous Superior Emission Standards

The flue gas purification system integrates the SNCR (Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction), rotary spray semi-dry method, dry powder injection Ca(OH)2, activated carbon absorption, and bag filter process to ensure superior emission standards. Conforming to the requirements of the national standard "Pollution Control Standard for Waste-to-Energy" (GB18485-2014), several indicators even surpass the stringent EU emission standards (2010/75/EU).

5. Community Engagement and Co-construction

The project incorporates an environmental education exhibition hall regularly accessible to the public. Continuous environmental education activities targeting children are organized to collectively cultivate a green and sustainable community.
