The Wuzhou Eco-Industrial Park is dedicated to the safe, efficient, and sustainable treatment of domestic waste within the region. Phase I of the project boasts a daily capacity to treat 1000 tons of domestic waste, with provisions for phase II expansion, earmarking an additional 1000 tons per day for future development. Construction commenced in November 2018, and following rigorous testing, including a comprehensive 72+24-hour trial run, the project officially commenced full-scale operation in August 2020.

The Wuzhou Project represents a pioneering initiative marking the inception of the first "One Park, One Enterprise" eco-industrial park initiative in China. Positioned as a cornerstone project within Guangxi’s comprehensive promotional efforts, the park embodies a visionary approach to sustainable development. Guided by the core principles of "One Park, Multiple Zones, Synergistic Functions, Smart Operations, Green Circulation," the park represents a paradigm shift in industrial ecosystem design. At its heart lies a closed-loop economic model epitomizing the ethos of "one resource, one product – renewable resources." This innovative framework fosters the development of a demonstration base dedicated to the advancement of circular economy principles and eco-industries.

Project Highlight

1、Architectural exterior design and landscape design

The architectural and landscape designs of the Wuzhou project are a testament to the concept of "deindustrialization," meticulously crafted by the renowned architectural design firm AIA from France. Embracing inspiration from nature’s harmony, the project’s exterior façade features a captivating honeycomb design symbolizing the industrious process of bees collecting pollen to produce honey. Central to the design is the utilization of frosted U-shaped glass materials, imbuing the main building with a modern and distinctive aesthetic. This innovative approach creates a striking landmark image that seamlessly blends industrial functionality with artistic sophistication. Furthermore, the transparency of the factory interior juxtaposed against the interplay of light and shadow, enhances the visual impact.

2. Technological Process

The flue gas purification system adopts a sophisticated process that includes furnace SNCR (Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction), rotating spray semi-dry method (for desulfurization), dry method (utilizing calcium hydroxide), activated carbon injection, and bag dust removal. Furthermore, to ensure optimal performance, an online flue gas monitoring device is strategically installed at the chimney outlet. The device facilitates automatic control of reagent dosing.

3. Intelligent Operation

The Wuzhou project embraces cutting-edge technologies to seamlessly integrate and uphold a commitment to standardized, ecological, and intelligent construction and operation practices. Utilizing networked intelligent production equipment, various workshops are interconnected to facilitate equipment information transmission, real-time data collection, monitoring, and control. Through internet communication, this interconnected system enables seamless connectivity among personnel, equipment, and systems, thereby realizing a vision of intelligent, interactive, and integrated operations.
