Neijiang Landfill Closure

NIMBY (Not in my backyard) becomes PIMBY (Please in my backyard): The transition from NIMBY to PIMBY marks a significant shift. Prior to the landfill closure, issues such as overloading, resulting in the accumulation of dead mud, mixed rain and sewage flow, odor pollution, and the presence of mosquitoes and flies, plagued surrounding residents causing misery. However, the closure project has successfully eradicated all detrimental environmental indicators. Simultaneously, an ecological restoration initiative has been launched, transforming the site into a lush green barrier and ecological park within the heart of Neijiang Hi-Tech Zone.
