The 11th Waste-to-Energy Technology and Equipment Conference and the 1st ISWA Beacon Conference on Waste to Energy were held in Xi’an, China, from July 1st to 4th. The global conference was first jointly organized by International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) and China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation (CAUES). SUS ENVIRONMENT was invited to share “Best Available Techniques and Practices of Waste-to-Energy” with over 500 attendees from around the world.

Dr. LONG Jisheng, Chairman and CEO of SUS ENVIRONMENT, delivered a keynote speech. He mentioned, “China's waste incineration treatment capacity has accounted for more than 50 percent of the world's capacity, and has the characteristics of large single-plant scale, high power generation efficiency, high resource utilization rate, good cost-effectiveness, and strict environmental protection and emission, which is suitable for promoting application globally. As the world's largest provider of waste incineration technology and one of the top three global investor in waste-to-energy projects, SUS ENVIRONMENT has been pioneering a ‘City-Benefit’ low-carbon solid waste management model. We are actively exploring the potential of waste-to-energy to support urban development and ensure accessible, high-quality energy. SUS is committed to collaborating with more countries and regions to achieve a green and sustainable circular economy, creating a win-win solution for environmental protection and urban development.”

On the morning of July 4th, the Xi'an Gaoling Domestic Waste Harmless Treatment Incineration Cogeneration Project welcomed nearly 200 visitors from over 10 countries. Attendees were particularly impressed by the project’s integration of 'Eco + X' waste-to-energy and district heating practice, multi-source solid waste synergistic treatment technologies, application of Al Digital Twin and culturally inspired architectural designs.

Looking ahead, SUS ENVIRONMENT remains dedicated to explore the value of waste-to-energy and share China’s best available techniques to support global sustainability.
